Maintenance man hides video camera in chiropractic office

Portsmouth, NH, A maintenance man has plead guilty to hiding a camera in the massage room of the Seacoast Spine and Injury massage. The video camera was found when a chiropractor in the office was checking a malfunctioning cd player.

Richard Baldwin, 35, has been fined and given jail time. He will also go though sex offender evaluation.

California Board of Chiropractic Examiners Audit

The California Board of Chiropractic Examiners and California Highway Patrol are 2 state agencies that are being examined. The Sacramento Bee has been reporting irregularities in the agencies lately which may have sparked an interest.

The process should be completed in about 7 months and will focus on the boards “licensing and continuing education programs, with an emphasis on the oversight and discipline of the state’s 15,000 or so chiropractors.”

Chiropractic victory over Stephen Barrett

Long time critic of chiropractic and alternative medicine Stephen Barrett has been set back by a judge that refused to overturn a 2005 decision against Barrett. Barrett has appeared as an expert in front of the FDA, FTC and other governmental agencies, but it has been shown that her has mislead everyone about being a licensed physician.

“Under Negrete’s intense cross-examination, Barrett admitted that he had not been a licensed physician for more than a decade and had failed the neurological exam, preventing him from being certified as a specialist.”
